Who is Daisy?
I get this question a lot, so let me clear things up. My name is Victoria Sanchez and I am the founder of Daisy Pet Services. Daisy the dachshund is the beautiful, majestic, hilarious creature featured in the photo above. Daisy came into my life as a birthday surprise years ago, she was small enough to fit into my shoe at the time. I raised her from puppy-hood, and grew to love her more and more every day. She is currently sleeping on the floor next to me as I type this. She is my fur baby and inspiration for the name of this company as well as the philosophy I use to run it.
I treat all pets in my care how I would want someone to treat my dog Daisy if I were in their shoes. With that said, as a true animal lover, I know that every animal is an individual, and not every pet will demand the same kind of attention that my little high maintenance terror (I mean angel) does from me. Some pets demand more, some are more like "whoa back off buddy, just let me do my thing". So being able to communicate with owners about habits, personalities, quirks and special needs is very important to me, as well as getting acquainted with the animals themselves and observing their behavior patterns. At the end of the day I am focused on taking in as many details and asking as many questions as I need to in order to have a successful visit with every pet while their owners are away.
So looking at it from a pet owners perspective, the qualities I would look for in a pet sitter for my beloved, precious, fur child Daisy would include: punctuality, attention to detail, reliability, patience and a genuine love for animals that extends to each and every pet they care for. That's what I look for when entrusting someone to care for Daisy and so that is what I use as my inspiration when going on any pet sitting or dog walking visit.
In conclusion of the first ever blog post from Daisy Pet Services, I just want to say that I love my dog (obviously) and all dogs,cats, birds, and basically all of the animals. And this blog is for all of the other animal lovers out there. I will be covering topics relevant to pet owners and animal lovers like myself.
